Abstract
This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of class XI students IPS High School YLPI Pekanbaru 2018/2019 academic year using Generative learning models on known Economic subjects from observations. This research was conducted on October 24, 2018 until November 23, 2018. The research subjects were students of class XI IPS, which totaled 24 students, consisted of 11 male students and 13 students female students. This research is a classroom action research (PTK). The research instrument used in this study was observation sheet, test of learning outcomes and documentation. This research implemented in 2 cycles consisting of 6 meetings, 4 meetings face to face and 2 meetings used for tests. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle, which is an average of 72.91% with the completeness of classical values 79.16% and cycle II increased by an average of 90.62% and classical completeness amounting to 95.83%. It can be concluded that the application of generative learning can improve the learning outcomes of students of class XI IPS SMA SERIRAMA YLPI Pekanbaru.
