Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction between NASA POC and oil palm ash on the growth and production of shallots. This research was conducted at the Green House UIRA Farm Agro, Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Teropong, No. 62, Kubang Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency. This study lasted for 3 months starting from September to November 2021. The design used was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the concentration of NASA Liquid Organic Fertilizer (N) which consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely 0, 1.5, 3, 4.5 per liter of water and the second factor is the dose of Palm Oil Ash which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 400, 800, 1200 g per plot. So this experiment consisted of 16 treatment combinations. Each treatment combination was repeated 3 times, so that 48 experimental units were obtained. The parameters observed were plant height, harvest age, number of tubers per clump, wet weight of tubers per clump, dry weight of tubers per clump, tuber weight loss, and dry weight of tubers per tuber. Observational data were analyzed statistically, and further tested with the Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of NASA's POC and oil palm ash was significant on the observations of plant height and tuber weight loss. The best treatment was a combination of POC NASA 4.5 ml per liter of water and 1200 g per plot. The main effect of NASA's POC is significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment is POC NASA 4.5 ml per liter of water. The main effect of oil palm ash was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment was oil palm ash 800 g per plot.
