Abstract
The inability of the gas to lift the liquid to the surface causes the liquid to accumulate in the downhole, this event is called liquid laoding. If a well has experienced liquid loading, then the production of the well will decrease and even the well will die or be closed. For this reason, it is necessary to analyze the prediction of liquid loading and the correct method to overcome the liquid loading problem. Liquid loading is not always easy to identify, because it is significant. The method commonly used in the oil industry to predict liquid loading is the "Tuner correlation" method. Meanwhile, the method used to overcome liquid loading in well X field Y is the Gas Lift method, Gas Lift is the continuous injection of gas into the annulus and through the valve. installed on the tubing, gas enters the tubing. Parameters that influence the selection of gas lift include: Productivity index (PI), Gas liquid ratio (GLR), depth to the well and reservoir driving mechanism. Gas Lift is widely used because it has advantages compared to other artificial lift methods, such as low initial equipment costs, sand produced does not damage most Gas Lift equipment, Gas lift does not depend on well design, relatively longer equipment life, and lower operating costs. relatively small. Gas well X is a gas well in production with a gas flow rate of 0.32 MMSCFD. This well continued to produce until 2014 saw a decrease in gas production and more and more liquid production was produced. This must be followed up immediately because the decline in gas production is getting bigger, for this reason it is necessary to do calculations and analyzes on liquid loading in the well to get the result of a critical flow rate of 1,077 MMSCFD. Gas production is 133.33 MMSCFD, by adding up using Gas Lift we get a result of 320,133.33 MMSCFD. After calculating, the Qlmax (maximum liquid production rate) value is 25 bbl/day and the minimum GLR for Gas Lift activity is 5,333.33 ft3. Therefore, by using the gas lift, gas production is 133.33 MMSCFD, to 320,133.33 MMSCFD. In handling liquid loading, one of them can use a gas lift, an artificial lift tool that works continuously to produce liquid.
