Abstract

In married life, many problems often occur, ranging from domestic violence that ends in divorce and even triggers death, to a lack of awareness and attention to the health condition of their partner. Premarital screening is a process of guidance given to couples to better understand and accept so that they are physically and mentally ready before deciding to go through with a marriage. The purpose of this study was to determine the success rate of screening activities at the Dumai City Religious Affairs Office. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method by conducting interviews with key informants and informants in this study. The conclusion in this study is that domestic violence still often occurs because the material about domestic violence is still relatively lacking so that couples do not understand in anticipating the occurrence of domestic violence and the lack of seriousness of prospective couples in participating in these activities. The suggestion in this case is that it is hoped that those who make the screening activity guide material can pay more attention to and emphasize the material on domestic violence so that they can reduce cases of domestic violence and for prospective brides who are about to get married to be more serious in participating in pre-marital screening activities. , because this activity is important in navigating the household ark.
