Abstract

Economic development planning also means an integrated activity that seeks to maximize the overall effectiveness of an organization as a system in accordance with the desired goals achieved in better economic development. This study aims to describe and analyze the Economic Development Planning Process in Sedinginan Village, Tanah Putih District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive analysis and the research location is Sedingin Village. Key and informants in this study amounted to seven people who provide data and information in this study. From the results of the data and interviews conducted by the author, then analyzed and descriptions are useful for obtaining answers to research on the process of economic development planning in Sedingin Village, Tanah Putih District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The result of this research is that economic development planning is the development planning carried out by Sedingin Village, which is “Enough Implemented� with several obstacles faced in economic development planning, including: (1) Lack of participation rate from the community in the submission of development planning proposals, (2) Lack of equitable development in economic development planning in Sedinginan Village, (3) Lack of government awareness of the use of the Battom - Up Planning approach, because many of them use the top - down palnning approach, (4) The emergence of new projects that are not proposed by the community so that the proposed by the community is hampered.
