Abstract

There are many ways that are applied by the teacher in the learning process that involves the active role of students, one of which is the learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference between the cooperative learning model type NHT and the cooperative learning model type TPS on student mathematics learning outcomes. The research was conducted in class X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Rambah Hilir. This study is an ex post facto study, the population of this study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Rambah Hilir, totaling 126 students, the research sample used was class X IPA1 and class X. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling. The data collection used is descriptive data analysis and inferential data analysis. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the cooperative learning model type NHT and the cooperative learning model type TPS on the mathematics learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Rambah Hilir. The conclusion of this study shows that the cooperative learning model type NHT is better than the cooperative learning model type TPS.
