Abstract

Loneliness is a feeling of being excluded, isolated, isolated, from other people and groups. And the feeling of loneliness because there is no friend or someone to share the joys and sorrows with. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of loneliness in the elderly at UPT Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah Pekanbaru. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. The sampling technique used during this research is (purposive sampling) with data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study were 2 elderly people living at UPT PSTW Khusnul Khotimah Pekanbaru. Results: based on the results of the study, the first subject looks sad and often shuts himself up, but reads books more often to fill his spare time. While the second subject often feels reminiscing, and often tells stories to think about it.
