Abstract

This study aims to determine the suitabilityof the accounting treatment of the laundry business in Ujung Batu District with the basic concepts of accounting. This research on the application of accounting was carried out in Ujung Batu District, Rokan Hulu Regency, with 23 laundry businesses that became the object of research. The data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. The data collection technique was carried out by conducting structured interviews and documentation, after all the data had been collected the data were grouped the according to their respective types and then processed in tabular form and described descriptively so that the authors could draw conckusions as a result of the research conducted. Based on the research that has been done that the application of accounting in the laundry business in Ujung Batu District does cash-based recording. Entrepreneurs also have not applied the concept of time period,the concept of business unity, the matching concept and the concept of business continuity. The calculation in one accounting period, which in one year. So it can be concluded that the application of accounting in the laundry business in Ujung Batu District, Rokan Hulu Regency is not in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting.
