Abstract
The objective of this research is to determine the increase in student mathematics learning outcomes by using the quantum teaching model for grade VII.2 students at SMP N 1 Tebing Tinggi in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. Based on observations and interviews, researchers found several problems that students 'mathematics learning outcomes were still low and students' lack of understanding in responding to the material. The form of this research is classroom action research (PTK). The subjects in this study were students of class VII.2 SMP N 1 Tebing Tinggi with a total of 31 students. The data collection technique used in this study was a test technique, namely by giving students three daily test questions and non-test techniques using teacher and student observation sheets. Based on the results of data collection, after using this model, it was found that there was an increase in student learning outcomes from daily tests I to daily tests II, with a percentage of 51.64% to 60.41%. So it can be concluded that the application of the quantum teaching model can improve the process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII.2 students of SMP N 1 Tebing Tinggi Barat 2019/2020.
