Abstract
Politeness of Assertive and Expressive Speech Acts in the Democracy Record Event of the Sleigh Maneuver in Front of Jokowi on Tv One The existence of differences of opinion from the speakers who were presented as resource persons and also the host of the Democratic Notes on the Sleigh Maneuver in Front of Jokowi on TV One gave rise to various utterances, whether spoken politely or not politely. This makes the writer interested in conducting research on the politeness of assertive and expressive speech acts in the event. The problem in this study is how politeness is in assertive and expressive speech acts in the Notes on Democracy Maneuver Sleigh in Front of Jokowi on TV One. The purpose of this study was to explore and elaborate the politeness of assertive and expressive speech acts contained in the event. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach and the method used is the method of content analysis. The data in this study are all utterances containing politeness of assertive and expressive speech acts contained in the Notes on Democracy Maneuver Sleigh in Front of Jokowi on TV One. The source of data in this study is the overall language activities that occur in the event. The data collection techniques used in this study are: documentation techniques, listening techniques, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is content analysis technique. The results of this study were found 51 data on the use of assertive speech acts. The most widely used speech act is the assertive speech act of telling as many as 20 data. The use of politeness in assertive speech acts was found to be 46 data. Among them are spoken politely as many as 32 data and 14 data in an impolite manner. Furthermore, there are 30 data on the use of expressive speech acts and the most widely used is the expressive speech act of blaming as many as 15 data. The use of politeness in expressive speech acts was found as many as 23 data. Among them, which are spoken politely are 19 data and 4 data are not politely spoken. This fact proves that the use of assertive and expressive speech acts spoken by the host and the speakers in the event is said to be polite.
