Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Public Policy Evaluation of the Pekanbaru City Industry and Trade Office (A Study of the Consequences of Indomaret Trade Business and Service Policies on Small Traders). The theory used is the theory of William N. Dunn. This research includes quantitative and qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, observation dan documentation. The results of the evaluation of the public policy if the industry and trade office of Pekanbaru city a study of the consequences of Indomaret trade business and service policies on small merchant businesses show that the Pekanbaru City Industry and Trade Office as the responsible agency has not been maximal in carrying out and supervising the Pekanbaru City Regional Regulation Number 09 of 2014 concerning Management of People’s Markets, Shopping Centers and Supermarkets. This has an impact on small traders where the existence of Indomaret retail has an impact on decreasing the turnover of small traders and affect the loss of livelihoods for some residents, but the existence of Indomaret retail also has a positive impact, namely to motivate small traders in maximizing their service.
