Abstract
Concrete is one of the most widely used construction materials and has a high tendency terhadap cracks. Innovative technologies for concrete in various ways have been developed using various additives, one of which is bacteria from vegetable waste extract. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of vegetable waste extract on the compressive strength of concrete, to find out by adding vegetable waste extract variations of 3%, 5%, 7%, and 9% knowing changes in cracks in concrete mixed with vegetable waste extract in the self-healing concrete process. This research is experimental (reserch) which was carried out in the laboratory with reference to SNI 03-2834-2000 with cube-shaped test objects as many as 27 samples. The treatment life is 28 days and a press test will be carried out. The recovery of cracks in concrete is only seen visually by shooting. As a result of this study, the strength of concrete aged 28 days variation of 0%, 3%, 7%, 9% in order was 37.91 Mpa, 38.25 Mpa, 34.32 Mpa, 25.04 Mpa, 29.81 Mpa, while the concrete press test after being crushed variations of 3%, 5%, 7%, 9% respectively was 36.46 Mpa, 37.93 Mpa, 31.54 Mpa, 32.21 Mpa. The recovery of cracks in the concrete seen visually with maintenance for 28 days there was no closure on the concrete that had been cracked.
