Abstract

Being a teacher of children with special needs is very different from teachers in normal schools, they not only have to be patient and diligent in dealing with their students, they also have to be sincere in giving lessons. The purpose of this study was to describe the behavior of altruism in teachers of children with special needs at school X Pekanbaru. The type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research population is all teachers who teach at school X Pekanbaru as many as 83 people. The sampling method used the saturated sampling method, namely examining all people in the existing population. The data collection was carried out by Rani (2019). Analysis of the data used in the form of the percentage of the frequency distribution. The results showed that the majority of teachers at school X were in the high category, which was 95.20%. In terms of gender, age and length of teaching, it is known that there is no difference in the frequency of each category of altruism, where the majority of SLB X teachers have altruism in the high category.
