Abstract
is the best food for babies. Government Indonesia also pays attention to the exclusive breastfeeding program by issued a new legal basis. Government Regulation Number 33 Year 2012 the Indonesian government requires mothers, families, local governments, and the community to support exclusive breastfeeding for six months However, there are still many mothers who do not exclusively breastfeed for no reason medical (such as the mother is sick and has been sentenced by the doctor can not remove ASI) usually occurs because the mother works. Based on data from the Department of Pekanbaru City Health in 2021, coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in the City Pekanbaru is about 55.7% of the 11,229 babies. The main problem of this research is how to give milk formula for children aged six months without medical reasons in Pekanbaru reviewed from the perspective of Islamic law? And how about formula feeding against children aged six months without medical reasons in Pekanbaru in terms of Government Regulation No. 33 of 2012 concerning Exclusive Breastfeeding? The research method used in this research is by using empirical legal research with data collection techniques namely by observation interviews. Judging from the nature of this research, including: descriptive research, namely research that provides a detailed description and clear about the main research problem. The result of the discussion of this research is the provision of formula milk not in accordance with Government Regulation Number 33 of 2012 concerning Water Supply Exclusive Mother's Milk due to the mother giving formula milk to her baby there is still a lot to do in Pekanbaru City because mothers don't understand the benefits of breast milk and don't want to bother giving food intake to her baby. And giving formula milk to children aged six months without medical reasons in Pekanbaru in terms of the legal perspective of Islamic law it is obligatory for a mother to breastfeed her child if the woman enters 3 categories, namely the woman is still a wife of husband, The child does not want to breastfeed other than the mother. In this case include if the child does not want to be given formula milk and if there is no father or the father has died The majority of scholars also agree that a mother obliged to breastfeed their child.
