Abstract

Geology and structural analysis to obtain information covering geomorphology, lithology, geological structures, and the formation of islands in the research area. The research area is located in the Aruah Islands, Pasir Limau Kapas District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province. This research was conducted to determine the geological aspects, the type of structure, the influence of structures on geomorphology, and the effect of structures on the lithology of the area. The research method used petrographic analysis and structural analysis of the rocks contained in the outcrop. The result of the research is geological data, namely the Lowland Sloping Marine geomorphological unit. There are lithological units, namely Sandstone and Claystone units. There are 13 types of structures, namely folds, and 12 burrows which have 3 different stress directions, namely Southeast - Northwest, Southwest - Northeast and South - North. And forming three structural patterns that are relatively Southwest - Northeast, West - East, and Southeast - Northwest, which arein the early - middle Miocene. And the early - late Miocene structure pattern was formed due to the movement from the northwest and the northeast.
