Abstract

The continuous increase in the number of aircraft passengers resulted in congestion at the airport. One of the impacts of overcrowding at airports is that it affects the level of passenger service at check-in counters at almost all airports, especially during peak hours. So an airport is always required to be able to continue to strive to improve services to airport service users. The objectives to be achieved in the research to be carried out are to find out how many check-in counters at the departure terminal must be opened at least so that queues do not occur and to know the performance of the queuing process that occurs at the check-in counter service and the length of the check-in service time in counter. In analyzing the service level of the check-in counter, knowing the length of time the queue process for the Check-In Counter service for each passenger and knowing how many counters must be opened at Sultan Syarif II Airport, therefore observations and calculations are made at the airport check-in counter Sultan Syarif Kasim II using the Queuing method with the M / M / 1 queuing model, which is calculating the need for the number of check-in counters and analyzing the arrival time of each airline's passengers. Procedure and service facilities for Citilink Check-in Counter ( = 1.25> 1), Lion Air ( = 1.07> 1), Batik Air ( = 1.29> 1) and Garuda Indonesia ( = 1, 65> 1) does not meet the requirements, the number of check-in counters based on the results of the field survey for Citilink airlines is 1 (one), Lion Air 1 (one) airline, Batik Air 1 (one) airline, Garuda Indonesia 1 (one) ) The number of check-in counters that must be opened based on the calculation of the queues for Citilink, Lion Air, Batik Air, and Garuda Indonesia airlines are 3 counters that must be opened.
