Abstract
The process of separating crude oil is highly recommended by its temprature, fluid density and retention time, where high temprature will produce a very different specific gravity between oil and air so that oil and air are easily controlled. The fluid produced in the West Area BOB has a low temperature, so the Heater Treater is used to increase the temperature. In the treatment process, the presence of basic air and sediment problems such as rusting (corrosion), scale and clogging which should not occur in the process at the collection station, the presence of sediment in petroleum is usually a very fine solid. Solids originating from the basins from which petroleum originates. Water contained in petroleum is in the form of granules or emulsions and may contain chemical salts or substances that are harmful or harmful to the company. From the data analysis conducted, it can be explained that the performance of the chemical and Haeter Treater in the kasikan, osam and hit fields against BS&W and oil content still enters the requirements set by PT.BOB, namely 5% for the BS&W limit and 120 ppm for the oil content limit. According to the data obtained, the average value of BS&W from May to September 2020 in the Kasikan, Osam and hit fields is 0.46% 0.1% and 0.1%, meaning that the Heater Treater and chemical work optimally so that it can affect BS&W below the requirent limit For the results of oil content from May to September 2020, it is also still below the stipulated requiment, namely 87.05 ppm in the Kasikan field, 38.7 ppm in the Osam field and 56.8ppm in the most hit field.
