Abstract
In this day and age, when knowledge and technology are developing rapidly, many people are working to develop or improve more practical and efficient systems to deal with human rights violations using weapons known as machines. The use of a banana stem chopper machine makes the task of manually cutting banana stems easier. The drive motor is used in the counting system of this machine. The drive motor rotates when the engine is started or turned on, turning the drive pulley on the engine. In this study, I used 3 variations in the number of blades, namely 2,3 and 4 using a 2800 rpm motor. From the results of the study, it can be seen that the number of blades has an effect on the chopping results. The more blades that are used, the fewer the chops produced will be. This happens because the distance between the blades is getting smaller so that the more blades used, the smaller the cutting angle and the resulting chops will be smoother and less. The chops produced by 2 blades are 300 kg/hour, the chops of 3 blades produce 216 kg/hour and the chops produced by 4 blades is 120 kg/hour.
