Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cash turnover on profitability in Plantation companies listed on the IDX in 2014-2018. This is to determine the effect of inventory turnover on profitability in Plantation companies listed on the IDX in 2014-2018. This is to determine the effect of cash turnover and inventory turnover on profitability at Plantation companies listed on the IDX 2014-2018. The quantitative descriptive research method with the object of this research is plantation companies that go public and are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and the period 2014-2018. The sampling technique was purposive sampling by determining 7 companies that met the criteria to be the research sample. The data analysis used classical assumption test, then performed multiple linear regression analysis, and continued with hypothesis testing and determination test. Based on the test results with basic assumptions and deviations from the classical assumptions, it shows that all data are accepted. Hypothesis testing of cash turnover variables does not have a significant effect on the profitability variable. Meanwhile, the inventory turnover variable had a significant effect on profitability in plantation or plantation companies in the 2014-2018 period. The coefficient of determination of the variable cash turnover and inventory turnover has an effect on the profitability variable by 58.4%, while the remaining 41.6% is explained by other variables outside the variables used. This means, the independent variable used is appropriate because it can explain more than 50% of the dependent variable.
