Abstract
Students who live in Islamic boarding schools will experience many demands that must be fulfilled, both interpersonal, physical, emotional, and relationship problems. Students must be able to develop resilience and employ effective coping mechanisms. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between religious coping and resilience on students in Pekanbaru. The sample of this research is 100 people using cluster random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this study is the Psychology Measure of Islamic Religiousness (PMIR) which consists of 12 items and the The Brief Resilience Scale (BRS) with 6 items. The statistical analysis used was the Spearman correlation which showed that there was only a significant positive relationship of positive religious coping on resilience with a value of r = 0.324 and p = 0.001 (p < 0.05), while on negative religious coping, no significant relationship was obtained where r =0.105 and p = 0.297 (p > 0.05). It can be concluded that the higher the positive religious coping students, the higher the resilience, and vice versa.
