Abstract

Lost circulation occurs on the 12¼ route, “A-1 well, “K field, which is the total loss in the limestone layer. Pumping LCM 40 bbls 30ppb nut plug Fine and 10 ppb CaCO3 was carried out to overcome this problem but was not successful, so the blind drilling method was carried out. Calculation of formation pressure, formation fracturing pressure, mud hydrostatic pressure, BHCP, and ECD so as to determine the cause of lost circulation. Based on these calculations, it is known that the cause of lost circulation in well A-1 field K is induced fracture or fracture due to drilling errors caused by bottom hole circulating pressure exceeding the formation fracture pressure. Then an evaluation of hydraulic factors was carried out in the form of re-design hydrostatic pressure calculations and bottom hole circulating pressure (BHCP) re-design, then an evaluation of mechanical factors was also carried out in the form of ROP, RPM, WOB, and Torque analysis to find out whether there were indications of a pinched pipe at the time of operation. performed the blind drilling method. By using the blind drilling method, the hydrostatic pressure value is 3925.57 psi, bottom hole circulating pressure (BHCP) is 5261.05 psi, ROP is 12 m/hr, RPM is 187, WOB is 8.4 klbs, and torque is 4,214 kftlb. so it can be concluded that the indication of a pinched pipe is caused by the decreasing ROP value.
