Abstract

This research has two stages. To determine the effect of irradiation response and the hormone NAA (Naphthalene Acetic Acid) on orchid explants (Dendrobium oharano) and to determine the validity of the video culture of orchid plant tissue (Dendrobium oharano) the use of leaf explants with the effect of irradiation response and the hormone NAA (Naphthalene Acetic Acid) which has been developed. Tissue culture research uses Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 stages, including NAA, and 1 control (without NAA). The results of the study at the tissue culture stage showed that the effect of irradiation and the NAA hormone was non-significant to the living explants, significant to the percentage of shoot formation, number of shoots, percentage of root formation and number of roots. Then this development research using the ADDIE development model has three stages, namely Analysis, Design, and Development. The data collection instruments used were in the form of validation sheets and validated lecturer and student response questionnaires. The sampling technique used in this research is random sampling. Data collection was carried out using validation sheets and questionnaires. The results of validation by material experts show that the learning media developed get an average percentage of 100% (very valid). The results of the validation by learning media experts showed that the developed learning media got an average percentage of 96.25% (very valid). The developed learning media received good responses from lecturers with an average percentage of 84.58% (good). So from the overall assessment, the average percentage of all validators is 91.83% with a very valid level of validity and it can be stated that the culture video-based learning media developed is very valid to be used in learning.
