Abstract

The Siak-Perawang road section is located in Riau Province which connects Siak Regency, Bengkalis Regency and Meranti Islands Regency to Pekanbaru City as the center of government and the capital city of Riau Province, along with the increasing population so that from year to year the volume of traffic flow is increasing. and has an impact on the number of road damage so that it is feared that it will trigger traffic accidents. To determine the type of damage with the level of damage or the value of flexible pavement conditions that occurred on Jalan Siak-Perawang, Siak Regency, a study was carried out using the PCI method. The road pavement condition assessment system uses the PCI method based on the type, level, and level of damage that occurs. Meanwhile, to determine the relationship between road damage and traffic accidents, Pearson product moment correlation analysis is used. The types of damage that can be found on the Perawang-Siak road section include patches, longitudinal cracking, potholes, depression, alligator cracking, rutting, grain release. (raveling), and obesity (bleeding). The results of the analysis of the condition of the Siak-Perawang road section show that the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value is fair with a PCI value of 52.35, for the Pavement Condition Index value per 500 m segment, that is, for STA 36+000-36+500 = 49.2 moderate category (Fair), STA 36+500-37+000 = 42.2 moderate category (Fair), STA 37+000-37+500 = 53.6 moderate category (Fair), and STA 37+500-38+000 = 64.4 category moderate (fair). The results of the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis are, r = 0.522, meaning that the relationship is quite strong and t count t table or 0.865 4,303, then Ho is accepted, meaning that it is not significant.
