Abstract
Continuous oil production will cause a decrease in the production flow rate due to reduced pressure as the production process is carried out. This problem causes the injection of water (waterflood). The diversity of the shape and typical sand makes each reservoir get different treatments, calculations and ways to increase oil production. Research on determining the injection pattern is one of the parameters that must be considered. This study focuses on the analysis of the selection of water injection patterns on several typical sands. Some of the typical sands that will be studied are Fining upward sand, Clean Sand and Laminated shaly sand. The water injection pattern (waterflood) that will be selected is a regular pattern type, which will be normalized and inverted 5 spots, 7 spots, 9 spots for each typical sand Fining upward sand, Clean sand and Laminated shaly sand so that there will be 1 Basecase scenarios and 9 test scenarios for each typical sand. The position of the injection well has a regular pattern because the field is quite large. The analysis in this research is to see the recovery factor, pore volume injected and cumulative oil production per well. Several stages of the research were carried out, namely collecting secondary data obtained in the field, then proceeding with making a model on the CMG 2018 (IMEX) simulator software. conducting experiments to make injection wells by paying attention to and adjusting the well pattern and fluid in fluid out (FIFO) ratio, so as to get the most optimal results from 2021 to 2030. The results of running on the fining upward sand for determining the most optimal pattern are scenario 5 FIFO 1.0 spot normal. In this scenario, we managed to get an RF of 73.56% and became the scenario with the best recovery factor, and got an NP of 2,691,504 bbl. The most optimal scenario in typical sand clean sand is 5 spot inverted FIFO 0.8 with an RF of 80.18% and cumulative oil of 2,933,638 bbl while the scenario with the best RF is 9 spot inverted FIFO 1.0 with an RF of 80.81%. Whereas for typical sand laminated shaly sand, there are 5 normal spots FIFO 1.0 with an RF of 80.04%, this is also the best RF and gets an NP of 2,537,973 bbl.
