Abstract

Long segment is handling road preservation within one continuous segment length to get uniform road conditions. The preservation long segment policy is to combine routine maintenance, widening, rehabilitation and reconstruction work in one road segment into one contract unit. Initially national road preservation activities were represented through the Commitment Making Officer. The long segment policy began to be implemented in various national roads in Indonesia starting in 2016 and is expected to change the paradigm of the contractor who so far has only been carrying out construction activities to become a road section manager. So that the contractor is more responsible in carrying out road maintenance and rehabilitation activities. The purpose of this study is to determine the scope of road rehabilitation preservation work and what are the advantages of road rehabilitation preservation work in a long segment and analyze the contract value based on the scope of road rehabilitation work. This study analyzes the realization of the work and problems of road rehabilitation by referring to primary data in the form of interviews with informants and secondary data obtained from commitment-making official 09, as well as reviewing solutions carried out by related parties in overcoming problems in the implementation of road rehabilitation preservation in the long segment of the segment. District Border Road Kuansing - Muara Lembu - Taluk Kuantan - West Sumatra Province Boundary. The results obtained in this study are the scope of road rehabilitation works (fixed) along 2.2 Km. Details of the price of road rehabilitation works are Rp. 9.008.702.529.00 (changed), to be reduced from the initial contracted amounting to Rp. 11,386,499,092.00. Because some of the funds for road rehabilitation works have been diverted to finance routine road maintenance work. The advantages of longterm road rehabilitation preservation work is that it can be flexible. As work can be increased or reduced in volume, work can be eliminated and work can be moved to those who need or need it more (from road rehabilitation work to routine road maintenance work) as long as it stays in the same section.
