Abstract
The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City for 5 months starting from February to June 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the main and interaction effect of giving Fly Ash and NPK 16:16:16. In oil palm nurseries, the research used a completely randomized design (CRD) in factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is Fly Ash (F) which consists of 4 levels, namely 25, 50, 75, 100 g per polybag and the second factor is NPK 16:16:16 (N) consisting of 4 levels, namely 47.5, 70, 95 , 140 g per plant to obtain 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so there were 48 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants as samples, a total of 192 plants. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaf midribs, longest midrib length, stem girth, root volume, root crown ratio, root weight density, and number of primary roots. Data were analyzed statistically and continued with the 5% BNJ level. The results showed that the interaction of fly ash and NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on root volume, root canopy ratio, root weight density, and number of primary roots. The best treatment was fly ash 100 g per poly bag and NPK 16:16:16 dose of 47.5 g per plant F4N1 (root volume). The main effect of fly ash has no effect on all observed parameters. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 has a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of fronds, longest leaf length and stem girth. The best treatment was NPK 16:16:16 with a dose of 47.5 g per plant N1 (plant height, number of leaf midribs and convoluted stems).
