Abstract

The agricultural sector has a very big role in providing raw materials for the agricultural product processing industry (agroindustry), such as Mr. Slamet soft tempe gembus agroindustry. This study aims to determine and analyze (1) the characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profiles of tempe gembus agroindustry; (2) The use of production factors, the use of technology, the production process and the use of labor in the tempe gembus agroindustry business; and (3) Production costs, income, efficiency and added value in Mr. Slamet dry tempe gembus agroindustry business. This research was conducted in Sako Margasari Village Logas Tanah Darat District Kuantan Singingi Regency Riau Province and was carried out for 6 months from May to October 2020. The method used in this research is the survey method which is a case in Mr. Slamet business. Respondents taken by census on Mr. Slamet dry tempe gembus agroindustry business. The data collected consists of primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the age of the tempe gembus agroindustry entrepreneurs is in the productive age group, namely 45 years and the age of the workforce used includes the productive age, which is 41 years. 6 years of education for entrepreneurs (SD level), and 9 years of workforce (SMP level). 9 years of entrepreneurial experience and 3 years of workforce. Dependents of the entrepreneur's family of 4 and a workforce of 3. Mr. Slamet strong tempe gembus agroindustry business profile has been established since 2017 until now. Mr. Slamet small tempe gembus agroindustrial business scale is included in the home industry scale with its own source of capital. The technology used in Mr. Slamet dry tempe gembus agroindustry to produce output is by using simple technology. The number of workers used is 2 people, including entrepreneurs. The use of tofu dregs raw material for 1 production process on average 55 kg and the production process take 15,28 hours with the use of supporting materials including: 0.25 m3 of firewood, 1 liter of kerosene, 1.5 kg of plastic and 0.5 kg of tempeh yeast. The total cost incurred is IDR 312,037 / production process. Gross income of IDR 600,000 / production process, net income of IDR 287,963 / production process. The Return Cost Ratio (RCR) is 1.92 and the added value obtained is IDR 7,552 / Kg. The margin obtained is IDR 10,000 / kg with a share for labor of 18.00%, other input contributions of 24.48% and company profits of 57.52%.
