Abstract
Super kampong chickens are native chickens that come from the result of a cross between laying hens and native chickens. Super native chickens can be harvested within 45-60 days. This research was conducted in Gading Sari Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, this study aims to analyze: (1) Characteristics of farmers and business profile of super native chicken farms in Gading Sari Village, (2) Super village chicken farming in Gading Sari Village, (3) Strategy for developing super native chicken farming business in Gading Sari Village. The method used in this research is the survey method. Data analysis is done by using descriptive statistical analysis and SWOT analysis. This research was conducted for 6 months starting from November 2019 to April 2020. The results of this study showed that the average age of farmers is 32 years, the education of farmers is 12 years, the number of dependents of the farmer's family is 2 people, and the experience of farming is 3 years. Profile of super village chicken farming in Gading Sari Village, The scale of the business is small and medium enterprises, the capital is own or personal capital and the number of workers of one person is the owner of the business itself. The average use of production factor consists of the use of DOC 700 heads, OVK 719 grams (bks) and 3.5 liters (bottle) , cage area of 42 m2, fixed cost Rp. 437,595, variable cost Rp. 19,142,625, profit Rp. 9,226,780, with efficiency of 1.47, on average this business is feasible and profitable. While the priority of strategies that can be applied in the development of super-village chicken farming business in Gading Sari Village is (1) Providing access to capital for super-village chicken businesses, (2) Drafting policies to provide capital assistance to increase business scale, (3) Providing assistance and creating seed centers, (4) Empowerment of farmers in the field of super village chicken cultivation technology, (5) Utilizing government policies for the development of super native chickens , (6) Creating a legal organization of super native chicken farms, (7) Providing counseling on managerial business through extension workers, (8) Providing feed and medicine subsidies, (9) Cooperating and coordinating between farmers to solve existing problems.
