Abstract

The research entitled "The Effect of Lime and Rhizobium on Growth and Production of Soybean (Glycine max L. Merrill) �. This research has held at the UIRA Farm Agro Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture Riau Islamic University, Jalan Teropong No. 62, Kubang Jaya Village, District Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency. When the research was carried out starting from the month January to April 2020. The purpose of this study is to find out interaction and the main effect of lime and Rhizobium in increase the growth and production of soybeans �. This research uses Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the dose of lime (K) which consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely: 0, 270, 405, and 540 g / plot. The second factor is the dose of Rhizobium (L) which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely: 0, 5, 10, and 15 g / kg of seeds. Each treatment consists of from 3 replications in order to obtain 48 experimental units. Observed parameters namely plant height, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate, number of nodules effective root, flowering age, legin usage efficiency, percentage of pods per plants, and weigh 100 dry seeds. Data were analyzed statistically and continued honest significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that, The interaction effect of lime and Rhizobium application is significant on the rate parameter relative growth 21-28 days, net assimilation rate 14-21 & 21-28 days, total effective nodules root, and weight 100 dry seeds, with the best treatment combination namely the provision of lime 405 g / plot and Rhizobium 10 g / kg of seed. Main influence giving real lime to all observed parameters, with treatment the best is giving lime 405 g / plot. The main effect of giving Rhizobium real to all observed parameters, with the best treatment, namely giving Rhizobium 10 g / kg of seed.
