Abstract

This research was motivated by the micro finance institution development as community economic growth tool. One of micro finance institutions was Baitul mal Wa Tamwil (BMT) which operated with profit sharing principle (sharia) in growing micro business and defending the interest of poor people through saving activity, funding and distributing Infaq, Zakat, and donations. This research formulation referred to the factors caused Non-Performance Finance (NPF) at Darussalam BMT UIR. This research purpose was to know the factors caused Non-Performance Finance (NPF) and how was the effort which done in preventing and completing Non-Performance Finance (NPF) at Darussalam BMT UIR. This research subject was Non-Performance finance (NPF). The object in this research was Baitul mal Wa Tamwil (BMT). This research used field research. The sources in this research used primer and secondary data. Meanwhile, data collection technique in this research was observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis technique used qualitative approach. This research finding showed the factors caused Non-Performance Finance (NPF) related to internal factors which came from the weakness in supervision and monitoring in this BMT. The external factor came from pandemic covid-19 which had an impact to economic changes, trade and customer revenue. As for, the Darussalam BMT UIR efforts in doing prevention Non-Performance Finance (NPF) was by implementing 5C + 1S and improving supervision and monitoring. Besides, the solution for Non-Performance Finance (NPF) was giving restructuration that consisted of Rescheduling, Reconditioning, and Restructuring.
