Abstract

Sustainable Development is simply a development that meets the needs of today without reducing the needs of future generations. Sustainable Development has 17 objectives, one of which is Quality Education. Presidential Regulation No. 59 of 2017 on Implementing the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals is a guideline for all development actors in the region to help succeed sustainable development. This study aims to find out the Development of Sustainability in Improving the Quality of Education in pekanbaru city and the factors inhibiting the implementation of Sustainable Development in Improving the Quality of Education in pekanbaru city. The method used in this study is qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using Observation, Interview, And Documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Sustainable Development in Improving the Quality of Education in Pekanbaru City has not run optimally from the whole thing referring to the existing data. This is due to lack of participation, low supervision, no clear commitment, lack of budget and invalid data. Therefore, it is very important for the Education Office to work with the school and private community progressively in order to realize a quality and sustainable education.
