Abstract

This research was conducted in Simpang Kubu Village, Kampar District, Kampar Regency. The purpose of this study is to determine the leadership of the village head in increasing community participation in village development in Simpang Kubu village, Kampar District, Kampar Regency. The population in this study were the Village Head, Village Officials and the Village Community of Simpang Kubu. It was taken from the population using census techniques with the consideration that apart from a small number they are also in the same place so that they can be sampled. Based on the results of research conducted by the author regarding the Leadership of the Village Head in Increasing Community Participation (Development Studies in Simpang Kubu Village, Kampar District, Kampar Regency) is Good Enough, that states that state the category "Good" is 33 and the average respondent is 19 people or 42% . Meanwhile, those who stated the category of “Good Enough� amounted to 44 and the average number of respondents was 22 people or 49%, then those who stated that the “Not Good� category were 13 and the average respondent was 7 people or 14%. It is proven that the role of a leader in running his government is very important in any case, especially in the field of development. Village development will progress and develop if there is a leader who is smart and has broad insight, so that he is able to issue good policies. A good relationship between the Village Head and the community must be maintained. So that there will be a good cooperative relationship in advancing Village Development.
