Abstract
The Role of Village Head in Increasing Village Original Income Sources in Desa Suka Damai, Ujungbatu District, Rokan Hulu District departs from the problem of the source Village finances are less stable from year to year, especially in the Galian C sector in Suka Damai village. The purpose of this research is how the role played by the village head in increasing the source of village income. The theory used in this research is the role theory proposed by Siagian (2019: 142) which includes; Stabilizers, Self Implementers, Pioneers, Modernizers, and Innovators. This type of research is qualitative and this research is located in Suka Damai Village, Ujungbatu District, Rokan Hulu Regency. There are two groups that serve as informants in this study, namely the Village Government of Suka Damai, amounting to 3 people and the Village Community of Suka Damai amounting to 2 people. In collecting and looking for data, structured and unstructured interview techniques were used, namely the researcher asked several questions that had been prepared and also questions directly / spontaneously in order to get answers about the Role of the Suka Damai Village Head. After conducting in-depth research and interviews, the results of research on the Role of Village Heads in Increasing Village Original Income Sources in Suka Damai Village, Ujungbatu Subdistrict, Rokan Hulu Regency are "less of a role", with several obstacles such as the difficulty of the village government in holding meetings that can be attended by community, limited funds owned by the village government, as well as the weak consistency of the village government in disseminating work contracts that are issued as regulators for the management of Excavation C.
