Abstract

Explanatory Text is a text related to phenomena nature, social and culture, in Indonesian language subjects in high school wrong one class XI subject matter about explanatory text, the author did the study entitled Analysis of Text Linguistic Structure and Rules Explanation in Online NewsOkezone New As Alternative Teaching Materials at SMA, as for the purpose of this study: (1) Describe, analyze, interpret and conclude the Explanatory Text Structure in the News Online Okezone New, (2) Describe, analyze, interpret and concludes the Explanatory Language Language Code in Ozone Online News New, (3) Making the Explanatory Text contained in Okezone's Online News New As Alternative Teaching Materials in High School. The approach in this study using a qualitative approach because this research does not use data calculation or statistics. The results of this study can be concluded that Text the author of the analysis besides there is already conformity with the syllabus in SMA Text Expansion of the authors of this analysis also when viewed from several questions delivered by Abidin (2012: 50) regarding whether teaching materials are appropriate with the purpose of learning, is the discourse used in accordance with the setting behind students, does the discourse contain several examples that can clarify understanding and whether it contains educational values. For make sure the text can be used as teaching material so the author gives some questions were asked by several teachers in high schools using questionnaires and the results obtained from the questionnaire are from text in online news for the first question is categorized as very good 28, good category 2 text, for the second question it is obtained which is very well-known 3, categorized good 3 and enough category 3, for the third question to get the category very good 10, good category 21, for the fourth question that is obtained Very good category 7, good category 23 and enough category 1, for the fifth question is categorized as very good 9, good category 20 and categorized enough 2.
