Abstract

This study aims to determine how the PR communication strategy of PT Balam Berlian Sawit in dealing with waste management. Communication has an important role in solving problems that are happening between the company and the community, so good and effective communication can solve problems related to waste management. The importance of a communication strategy is as one of the determining factors for the success of what you want to convey or what the company's goals are. In this study using a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data from this study were obtained from primary data and secondary data. This study uses the Public Relations Strategy Theory by Scott M Cutlip and Allen H Center, namely (1). Determine the problem, (2). Preparation of programs and strategies, (3). Take action and Communication. This theory is the basis for making this thesis. There were 6 informants in this study. The results of this study explain how the PR communication strategy of PT Balam Berlian Sawit in dealing with waste management is carried out by determining PT BBS's problem in dealing with waste management, PT BBS's strategy in dealing with waste management, and PT BBS communication in dealing with waste management through communication with the village head. and community representatives as well as conducting socialization with the community that owns oil palm plantations.
