Abstract

Quantum Teaching is a model that can change the learning atmosphere to be fun so as to increase the activeness of students in learning. The purpose of this study was to produce mathematics learning tools and determine the validity of learning tools with the Quantum Teaching model on the material of linear equations and inequalities of one variable in grade VII SMP. The learning tools referred to are the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKPD). This type of research is development research using the Borg and Gall model consisting of potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and final product. In the Borg and Gall model, researchers did not use the product trial stage because of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic which made school learning in the 2019/2020 school year carried out online. The data collection technique used a validation sheet given to 4 validators consisting of 2 FKIP UIR lecturers and 2 mathematics teachers at SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of the research that have been done show that the feasibility of the learning tools in the RPP has an average percentage of 93,08% and LKPD has an average percentage of 93,43%with a very valid category. Based on these results it is concluded that the development of mathematics learning tools with the Quantum Teaching model on the material of linear equations and inequalities of one variable is feasible to be used and tested in junior high schools.
