Abstract

research entitled Response of Basil Plants (Ocimum basilicum L.) to Goat Manure and Market Waste POC under the guidance of Dr. Fathurrahman, SP., M.Sc, the research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 11. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of Basil Plants (Ocimum basilicum L.) on goat manure and POC. market waste. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor was goat manure (K) which consisted of 4 levels of treatment, namely: without goat manure, 40, 80, and 120 g per polybag. The second factor is market waste POC (P) which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely: without market waste POC, 150, 300, and 450 ml/l water. Each combination consisted of 3 replications so that 48 experimental units were obtained. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, economic weight per clump. The data were statistically analyzed and continued with the honest significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. Based on the results of research on all observation parameters, as well as the main effect of the interaction response of goat manure and market waste POC on plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, and economic weight per clump. The best treatment was found in the combination of goat manure treatment of 120 g/polybag and POC of market waste 450 ml/l of water (K3P3). The main effect of goat manure was on all parameters observed, with the best treatment being 120 g/polybag (K3). The main effect of market waste POC is on all observed parameters, with the best treatment being 450 ml/l water (P3).
