Abstract

This study aims to analyze the prospect of freshwater fishery business in absorbing labor in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The population in this study were all freshwater fisheries entrepreneurs spread over 15 sub-districts in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The sampling method used here is Random Sampling, which is a sampling technique from population members that is carried out randomly without regard to the strata that exist in the population, so that from the 15 existing sub-districts 7 sub-districts will be selected where each sub-district will be selected 7 water fishery entrepreneurs. bargain as a respondent to be used as a sample. The method used is descriptive method, namely by using secondary data to obtain data obtained from the Department of Fisheries and Food Security, Kuantan Singingi Regency. From the results of research that has been carried out, the BCR value is more than 1, which means that the prospect of the business being run is feasible to be used as a business and further developed, even though this freshwater fishery business is not adequate in terms of employment in Kuantan Singingi Regency.
