Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the ability of students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in solving problems on the daily test questions of the regulatory system material in class XI MIPA SMAIT Tebuireng 4 Al-Ishlah Kuala Gading Academic Year 2020/2021. This research is descriptive research. The instruments used are Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), observation sheets, interview guidelines and documentation. The sample of this research is students of class XI MIPA 1 (Male) and XI MIPA 2 (Female) SMAIT Tebuireng 4 Al-Ishlah Kuala Gading with a total of 50 students. Based on the results of the study, the students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) on the analyzing indicator (C4) found an average percentage of 60.88% in the low category, on the evaluating indicator (C5) an average percentage of 54.53% was found in the very low category, and the indicator of creating (C6) found an average percentage of 35.47% with a very low category. From this study, it can be concluded that the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) students of XI MIPA SMAIT Tebuireng 4 Al-Ishlah Kuala Gading in the 2020/2021 academic year are in the very low category with a percentage of 50.29%.
