Abstract
The millennial generation makes a lot of changes, this generation makes all innovations easier, faster and instant, as well as in choosing a career because the millennial generation is considered picky in choosing a job because of prestige, therefore the millennial generation needs good and positive thinking so that they have good self esteem. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and career planning in the millennial generation. Subjects in this study amounted to 220 people. Data was collected using two scales, namely self-esteem scale and career planning scale, data analysis was processed with product moment correlation using SPSS for windows program. The reliability test was carried out with the Cronbach alpha technique which resulted in a value of 0.820 for the self-esteem scale, 0.907 for the career planning scale, the results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between self-esteem and career planning, the magnitude of the relationship can be known by looking at the correlation coefficient (r). of 0.521 and p= 0.000 (p<0.001).
