Abstract

ABSTRACT Communication Patterns in the Pekanbaru Cross Dancer Community in Establishing Solidarity Relationships Enggita Gusla Rahayu 179110051 The purpose of this study was to identify and describe communication patterns in the Pekanbaru City Cross Dance Community in establishing a solidarity relationship. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The informants of this study were selected using the snowball sampling technique and the informants were active drivers. The object of this research is the pattern of communication in the Pekanbaru Cross Region Dancer Community in Solidarity Relationships. This research was conducted at Basecamp where the Cross Dancer Community gathered in the Pekanbaru area. The time in this study starts from June 2021 to August 2021. The primary data sources are interviews, observations, and documentation. Secondary data sources are reference books, research journals, essays, and/or articles. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation and documentation. To test the validity of the data obtained using the Triangulation technique. The data analysis technique was carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. The results of the study indicate that the communication pattern encountered is the first interpersonal communication that occurs in the form of a dyadic communication pattern where one community member interacts with other community members directly. Furthermore, another communication pattern that can be seen is the communication pattern of small groups (2-3 people) carried out by members of the Pekanbaru City Cross Dance Community. The pattern of group communication that occurred was the Free Takjil Sharing Activity of the Pekanbaru Cross-City Dancer Community which was carried out on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta in 2019, and the Kopdar Activity at the Pekanbaru MTQ Retirement Field. The pattern of mass communication that occurs is communication through WhatsApp aimed at getting various information, especially about land travel.
