Abstract

ABSTRACT AN IMPLEMENTATION OF MUDHARABAH CONTRACT IN COOPERATIVE CATTLE FARMING AND ITS IMPACT ON COMMUNITY WELFARE IN BATHIN BETUAH VILLAGE, MANDAU DISTRICT, BENGKALIS REGENCY NANDA ANDRI YANI 172310047 Cooperative cattle farming is a business activity conducted in Bathin Betuah Village, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency. People in this village call it "Belah Sapi" which means profit sharing between capital owners and capital managers of cattle farming. The problem formulation of this study: how is the implementation of mudharabah contract in cooperative cattle farming in Bathin Betuah Village, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency? And how is the impact of cooperative cattle farming on community welfare in Bathin Betuah Village?. The aim of this study is to investigate the mudharabah contract in cooperative cattle farming in Bathin Betuah Village and to find out its impact on community welfare in Bathin Betuah Village. The type of this study is field research conducted in Bathin Betuah Village. The data information of this study is obatained from the key informants and additional informants. The data sources of this study consist of primary data and secondary data. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that the implementation of mudharabah contract in cooperative cattle farming in Bathin Betuah Village is in accordance with the mudharabah contract of Islamic law. Unfortunately, there are no witnesses in the process of providing capital, the contract between the capital owner and the cattle manager is verbal and the time of the cooperation is not determined when it ends. The reason of these actions is because the community still uses the system of customs and habits that are always used by the previous generations. However, these actions do not violate the mudharabah contract and in fact, this cooperation has positive direction to the economic impact, social impact and cultural impact as well as preserving longstanding local habits and customs in the village of Bathin Betuah.
