Abstract

Proliferation is a whole part or a unit which is divided or separated into several independent parts. An expanded region is an area or territory that was previously a single unit which is then divided or expanded into several parts to regulate and manage its own government affairs. Meanwhile public service is the government's obligation to fulfill the rights and obligations of every citizen. In order to facilitate the delivery of government services to the community, a public service model is needed. In the concept of public services, there are several models of use of these models depending on the conditions and situations in the area where the service is provided. This study aims to examine the effect of sub-district proliferation policy on the effectiveness of public services in Katang Bidare District, Lingga Regency. The object of this study were 100 respondents who were members of the community from various backgrounds in Katang Bidare District. The method used is simple linear regression. To test the hypothesis, the multivariate analysis of parametric test is used first. The results showed that the research data met the requirements for a simple linear regression test. The results of the study produce a regression equation for Public Service Effectiveness = 5.337-0.230 (District Expansion) + e From the analysis, it is concluded that the sub-district expansion variable has a negative effect on the effectiveness of public services in Katang Bidare District with a significance value of 0.035. And the coefficient value that is negative is -0.230 and the t value is -2.143.
