Abstract

This study aims to find out about Student Perceptions of Pedagogic Competencies and Professional Competencies of Biology Teachers Class XI MIA at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru for the 2019/2020 Academic Year. This research is a qualitative research used to determine how to find, collect, manage and analyze research data. Data collection in the study was carried out in October 2019 to completion. The population in this study were students of class XI MIA in 5 classes at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru, each class with only 20 students who were used as research samples so that the sampling was called random sampling. Based on the data from the questionnaire results of Student Perceptions of Pedagogic Competence and Professional Competence of Biology Teachers Class XI MIA at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru for the 2019/2020 academic year, it was found that the highest percentage was on indicators of taking reflection action to improve the quality of learning, the percentage was 95 , 66 with the very good category and the indicators of utilizing the results of the assessment and evaluation for the benefit of learning obtained a percentage of 62.16 in the good category.
