Abstract
This research is motivated by the existence of students' attention problems in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the drill method on students' learning attention in Islamic religious education lessons at SMA Negeri 1 Bunguran Timur Laut. The type of research used is quantitative with a correlational approach. The subjects of this study were students of SMA Negeri 1 Bunguran Utara Utara class XI, majoring in science, which amounted to 115 students and only 90 students were used as research samples. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used normality test and simple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of data processing and data analysis using SPSS 22, the probability value is significantly less than 0.05, which is 0.000, so the hypothesis in this study is accepted. So that there is an effect of the drill method on students' attention to learning in Islamic religious education lessons at SMA Negeri 1 Bunguran Northeast. With a large level of influence is 0.312 or 31.2% which is in the range 0.200-0.399 which means weak. This means that there is an effect of the drill method on students' attention to learning in Islamic religious education lessons at SMA Negeri 1 Bunguran Northeast with the level of the relationship between the two being weak.
