THE CORRELATION BETWEEN CLASS MANAGEMENT AND STUDENT'S LEARNING INTEREST LENI RERLINA 178110016 FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGI RIAU ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY ABSTRACT The teacher's role in classroom management is a facilitator in learning, because proper classroom management can create a comfortable classroom atmosphere as a place for learning activities to take place, thus the learning process will be able to run effectively, conducive and can increase students' interest in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between classroom management and student interest in learning at Mts. X Sialang Kubang and SMP Y. The subjects in this study were 58 students consisting of 31 boys and 27 girls who were taken using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The data collection method in this study was the classroom management scale consisting of 41 items, and the learning interest scale consisted of 20 items. The data were analyzed using Spearman Rank correlation where the results showed that the correlation coefficient (r) was 0.585 with p value = 0.000 (p < 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between classroom management and student interest in learning. The resulting correlation value is positive, meaning that the higher the class management carried out, the higher the interest in learning in students, and conversely the lower the class management, the lower the interest in learning in students.
