Abstract

Independence is the child's ability to be responsible for himself, believe in his own abilities, not waiting for decisions from others, able to solve his own problems, not doing something because of coercion from other individuals , able to choose what is good to do, and able to evaluate shortcomings. to be used as learning in the future to become an independent individual. While parenting is a form of parenting and parenting methods to train discipline tobuild a relationship that is good with children, with the intention of shaping the character and personality as well as teach the direction to train their children to become independent towards themselves and the environment around it. There are three types of patterns of parenting the parents namely : authoritative, authoritarian, and permissif . In its current state, future pandemic, the parents are required to work to meet the needs in the family, so that the necessary parenting to educate their children in order to remain independent even without the care that is intense, with the look of the three patterns of parenting are different with his trademark itself and give different effects on children's behavior . Interest in the study of this is to determine how the influence of parenting parents who work with adolescent independence early in the SMP 33 Pekanbaru, with the subject da lam this study was 211 students, taken by using multiple linear regression . Collection techniques using a scale of 31 items for the parenting scale and 27 items for the independence scale . The results of the study have demonstrated that patterns of parenting has the effect that significantly towards independence in adolescents, where authoritative correlate 78.3 with independence, authoritarian correlates of 75.4 with independence, and permissuf correlates of 72.5 with independence. foster authoritative , authoritarian, and permissif give a contribution that is more substantial in the establishment of autonomy compared with other factors which amounted to 64.7%.
