Abstract
Product packaging has an impact on increasing consumer buying interest. Product packaging provides a strategy and attraction for consumers to own it so that marketing activities get maximum results. Product packaging is inseparable from the brand, the image on the packaging, the shape of the packaging, the color of the packaging and the packaging label so that it can increase consumer buying interest.This study aims to determine the effect of packaging on consumer buying interest in AA Terasi Stamp Products on stretNiaga Bagan Readyiapi, RokanHilir Regency.The method used is quantitative using a descriptive survey, which is a type of research that describes the variables studied, this study set 50 respondents and 1 informant. Data collection techniques Observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation with descriptive data analysis through a quantitative approach. From the results of the research, it is known that the packaging of the AA stamped shrimp paste product has not had an influence on consumer buying interest this is due to the application of the brand, the image on the packaging, the shape of the packaging, the color of the packaging and the packaging. have not been labeled so that the sales results are not in accordance with the revenue target.This study concludes that based on the results of statistical tests, it can be concluded that product packaging on the Consumer Purchase Interest of Stamp AA Terasi Products with fairly good resultsbecause packaging affects consumer buying interest so that it can increase sales of AA stamped shrimp paste. The author suggests that the packaging image, color and shape of the packaging can be updated again so that it can provide consumer interest.
