Abstract

This research was conducted in Bukit Sembilan Village, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency. The objek of this research is Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). The promle discussed in this study is how the suitability of the application of accounting in the village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Mekar Jaya, Bukit Sembilan Village with the basic concepts of generally accepted accounting. The data used by researchers at the Mekar Jaya Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Mekar Jaya in the village of Bukit Sembilan has fulfilled the basic concepts of accounting in carrying out its activities. This research is a qualitative reserch, and the techniques used in data collection are interviews and documentation, to analyze the data obtained by the author using descriptive methods, namely making comparisons between the data that has been collected with related theories and presented in the form of research results. The results of this study indicate that the application of village accounting to the village-owned enterprises of Mekar Jaya is not fully in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, howere, the results of this study also illustrate that the application of accounting at BUMDes still meeds improvenment to improve the welfare of the community at the agency village owned business.
