Abstract

Traffic violations of minors in Bangkinang city which continues to increase every year are very dangerous for them and other road users. Underage drivers also do not have a driver's license and of course this is very dangerous, especially when they are not emotionally stable while driving. The purpose of this study was to describe the description of traffic violations by minors in Bangkinang city, to determine the compliance behavior of minors regarding traffic safety, and to determine the factors causing traffic violations by minors in Bangkinang city. This study is located in the Bangkinang district of the city, this study uses primary and secondary data. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method, namely by filtering all data so that new, important, and valuable data are found by using supporting data from questionnaires and interviews. This study used primary and secondary data and then tested the validity of the questionnaire, the validity test was obtained by using SPSS. Based on the results of rtabel testing the validity of with a significance level of 0.05 or5%is0.099.Thedatacanbesaidtobevalidif � >0,099(� ). h����� ����� The highest mean results obtained in the analysis of this questionnaire is that they have ridden a motorcycle even though they are still under 17 years old with a mean of 4.03. Factors causing traffic violations by minors are caused by 2 factors. Namely the factor of peers, and the factor of lack of understanding of traffic safety. And also the compliance behavior of minors regarding traffic safety is still very lacking.
